Bike Ride for Amy set for May 31 The 2nd Annual Bike Ride for Amy to support the cost of breast-cancer screenings for low-income women has been rescheduled for 8 a.m. May 31. Sponsored by the Amy Feiman Behar Foundation for Cancer Prevention, Inc., the ride will feature 25- and 50-mile paths starting and ending at the South Brunswick Community Center off New Road. Bicyclists of all levels are invited to participate. The shorter route is designed for individuals who ride for pleasure and prefer their own pace. The 50-mile ride is for more experienced riders and requires they be in good physical condition. The longer route is a combination of flat, rolling and hilly terrain. The registration fee is $150, which is the cost of one mammogram. All riders will be provided with a water bottle, a T-shirt and a biker's vest to wear on the ride. Riders can register at www.amyfoundation. org. |
