The New Jersey Chapter of NAIOP, the commercial real estate development association, will host a discussion on Gov. Chris Christie’s administration’s efforts to attract jobs and business to New Jersey. The discussion will be held March 23 at the Heldrich, 10 Livingston Ave., New Brunswick.

Richard Bagger, chief of staff for Christie, will update the chapter on the Christie administration’s efforts to attract and retain jobs and talk about what lies ahead. Dennis Bone, president of Verizon New Jersey and chairman of Choose New Jersey, a coalition of major corporations that work with the state to market New Jersey as a business destination, will discuss this private sector initiative and how it is fostering public/private partnerships to create a better business climate in the state.

Registration, networking and cocktails begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and the program. Tickets range from $110 to $195. For more information, visit http://www.naiopnj.org or call 732-729- 9900.

Charschan Chiropractic and Sports Injury Associates, 490 Georges Road, North Brunswick, will hold its annual “Shoes for the Needy” program Feb. 16 through March 30.

People who wear better-quality, supportive footwear tend to endure fewer back problems, so donations of used, barely used or new shoes will be accepted to help those who cannot afford adequate footwear.
